The Abilene Eagles will take on the Hanks Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Abilene will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Two weeks ago, Abilene beat Amarillo 24-14.
Abilene's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Chad Lara, who rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown, and Brayden Henry, who rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns. Ryland Bradford also helped out with an impressive 86 receiving yards.
Even though Hanks has not done well against Ysleta recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Hanks strolled past Ysleta with points to spare, taking the game 35-19.
It was another big night for Michael Oliver, who rushed for 221 yards and two touchdowns. Oliver hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Porras, who rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown.
Abilene's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. As for Hanks, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
