Lovejoy got some further help from Kevin Magee: he picked up a sack and made 19 total tackles.
Even though they lost, Lovejoy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 248 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.
Denison's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Lovejoy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Denison was taken down by Lovejoy 47-7 in their previous matchup back in September of 2023. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Denison was down 40-0.
