It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Legal Prep had no problem doing just that on Friday. They really took it to the Mustangs for the full four quarters, racking up a 78-16 win at home. Legal Prep has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 22 points or more this season.
Legal Prep was led to victory by Jamal Craig and TyShawn Spires. Craig scored 15 points, while Spires scored 16 points. That's the first time this season that Spires scored 15 or more points. Brandon Sneed was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Legal Prep, bringing their record for this year to 14-9. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for Intrinsic, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
Legal Prep will be playing at home against Kelvyn Park at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Intrinsic, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus at 1:00 p.m. on January 27th. Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive.
