St. Albans has gone 9-1 against Riverside recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Red Dragons will challenge the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. St. Albans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Riverside's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
St. Albans barely beat George Washington the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Red Dragons never let the Patriots get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory last Friday. The result was nothing new for the Red Dragons, who have now won seven matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Ava Bentley made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 21 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Carlee Parker and Ali Long did most of the damage at the plate: Parker went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI, while Long went 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
St. Albans hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as George Washington struck out nine times.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Riverside ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past Hoover 7-6. The win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on three straight.
Haylee Mullins was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Riverside pushed their record up to 19-9 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for St. Albans, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-10.
Riverside's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. St. Albans has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Riverside, though, as they've been averaging only 3.8 strikeouts. Will St. Albans keep running through batters, or will the Warriors buck the trend?
