The Walter Johnson Wildcats are taking a road trip to  challenge the Paint Branch Panthers  at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  both  will really light up the scoreboard.
 Walter Johnson's defense heads into the  matchup  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Thursday. They claimed a resounding  41-0 win over Whitman at home. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by  exactly 41  points.
 Meanwhile, Paint Branch was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Springbrook 42-7 on the road. The  game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached  42-0.
  Alijah Bah had a dynamite game for Paint Branch, rushing for 114 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries.
 On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Paint Branch's defense and their three sacks. Leading the way was  Abubacarr Juwara with  two.
 Walter Johnson now  has a winning record of 2-1. As for Paint Branch,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 2-0.
 Walter Johnson strolled past Paint Branch in their previous meeting  back in September of 2023 by a score of  22-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for Walter Johnson since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
