The San Marcos Knights can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Wednesday. They blew past Poway 77-55. The victory was just what San Marcos needed coming off of a 65-44 defeat in their prior game.
San Marcos' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jalen Williams, who scored 15 points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Derek Tuason, who scored 19 points.
San Marcos is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Poway, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

San Marcos the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Rancho Bernardo at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Rancho Bernardo is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Poway, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Del Norte at 7:00 p.m. Del Norte and Poway are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
