In what's become a running theme this season, the Richmond Christian Warriors gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 65-25 victory over Cristo Rey at home. Winning may never get old, but Richmond Christian sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Richmond Christian found their leader in underclassman Kailah Carter, who dropped a double-double on 33 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Carter has scored at least a third of Richmond Christian's points. Morgan Trimble was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Richmond Christian pushed their record up to 9-1 with that victory, which was their 12th straight at home. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31 points. As for Cristo Rey, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Richmond Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Norfolk Collegiate at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Cristo Rey will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on James River HomeSchool at 6:30 p.m. on January 29th. James River HomeSchool's defense has only allowed 27.2 points per game this season, so Cristo Rey's offense will have their work cut out for them.
