Rosemont has gone a perfect 10-0 against Bradshaw Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Wolverines will welcome the Pride at 4:00 p.m.
Last Thursday, Rosemont came up short against Argonaut and fell 9-4.
Talia Adams put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned (and seven unearned) runs off eight hits. Adams was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Jalaya Cozart was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-4. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game.
Meanwhile, Bradshaw Christian came into Friday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They never let El Dorado get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory on Friday. Considering the Pride's hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Like Rosemont, Bradshaw Christian also got a great game from a two-way player: Kaylee Hand. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. Hand was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Bradshaw Christian let Ava Clarida and Avery Slater run wild. Clarida went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI, while Slater scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave Clarida a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lexi Ortiz, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Bradshaw Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-8-1. As for Rosemont, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.
Rosemont's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. The Wolverines have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Bradshaw Christian, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Rosemont continue to outrun the ball?
Everything went Rosemont's way against Bradshaw Christian in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Rosemont made off with a 12-5 victory. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Pride have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
