The Brewer Bears will be home for the holidays to greet the Northwest Texans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brewer will be looking to keep their 11-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Brewer scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Boswell by a score of 62-49. With that victory, Brewer brought their scoring average up to 50.4 points per game.
Brewer had a senior duo take command as Julian Perez scored 19 points along with six assists and four steals and Tyren Mitchell scored 18 points along with six assists. The contest was Perez's 17th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Warren King, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Northwest had to settle for a 53-50 loss against Weatherford on Tuesday. Northwest has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Brewer's win bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Northwest, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.
Brewer strolled past Northwest in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 48-34. Will Brewer repeat their success, or does Northwest have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
