The Mt. Enterprise Wildcats had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They claimed a resounding 76-38 win over Colmesneil at home. With Mt. Enterprise ahead 47-24 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Mt. Enterprise's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dawson Zarazinski, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tracey Thompson, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Mt. Enterprise pushed their record up to 9-6 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points per game. As for Colmesneil, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Enterprise will play host again and welcome Carlisle, where tip off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Carlisle knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Mt. Enterprise likes a good challenge. Colmesneil will be home for the holidays to greet Corrigan-Camden at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Corrigan-Camden presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Colmesneil in Texas (Corrigan-Camden is ranked 350th, while Colmesneil is ranked 1684th).
