The Greene County Tech Golden Eagles came tearing into Friday's contest with 13 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.1 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 41-35 victory over Valley View. Given Greene County Tech's advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while Valley View is ranked 98th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Greene County Tech's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacey Edrington, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Ava Carter, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Greene County Tech has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season. As for Valley View, they dropped their record down to 10-15 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
