There's no place like home for the McKean Highlanders, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They walked away with a 49-42 win over Odyssey Charter on Tuesday. The score was all tied up 18-18 at the break, but McKean was the better team in the second half.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McKean to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alexus Barlow, who scored 24 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barlow has scored all season. Dolores Samson was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds.
McKean's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-11. As for Odyssey Charter, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
McKean won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Howard at 4:45 p.m. on February 7th. McKean has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Odyssey Charter, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against St. Andrew's at 3:30 p.m. Odyssey Charter is facing St. Andrew's at the right time seeing as St. Andrew's is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
