The Belen Jesuit Wolverines will head out on the road to face off against the Miramar Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Belen Jesuit had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top against South Broward by a score of 20-13. The win made it back-to-back wins for Belen Jesuit.
Khamani Alexander was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 232 yards.
Meanwhile, Miramar put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They put the hurt on American with a sharp 23-0 win. Given Miramar's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 90th, while American is ranked 207th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Belen Jesuit's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Miramar, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
