The McIntosh Demons extended their postseason success on Thursday against the Leroy Bears. They took down the Bears 58-42. The victory was familiar territory for McIntosh who now have four in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Leroy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Malik Howell. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points along with two steals. Howell continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ray Phillips, who scored eight points along with four steals and two blocks.
McIntosh pushed their record up to 23-4 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Leroy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.
McIntosh will play host again and welcome Brantley, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Brantley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Leroy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
