Warren has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on The Tustin Tillers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, everything came up roses for Warren at home against Dominguez as the team secured a 50-6 win. Given Warren's advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 61st, while Dominguez is ranked 314th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jordan Ross and Madden Iamaleava were among the main playmakers for Warren as the former picked up 128 receiving yards and three touchdowns and the latter threw for 278 yards and four touchdowns on only 18 passes. Iamaleava is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last four games he's played. Jordan Jones made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Warren's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was JT Houston and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, Tustin put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Cypress 49-17 at home. Tustin pushed the score to 35-10 by the end of the third, a deficit Cypress had little chance of recovering from.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tustin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eimesse Essis, who rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Essis is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. MacKenzie Alleyne also helped out as he racked up 104 rushing yards.
Warren's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Tustin, their victory was their fifth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0.
