After two games on the road, Power Center Academy is heading back home. They will take on the Craigmont Chiefs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Power Center Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Monday.
The matchup between Power Center Academy and Freedom Prep Academy hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. Power Center Academy took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 74-43 victory over Freedom Prep Academy.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Power Center Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marquis Tunstall, who scored 21 points along with 7 steals and 5 assists. Nazir Allen was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Craigmont had to suffer through a rough 71-28 loss at the hands of Middle College.
The losses dropped Power Center Academy to 1-1 and Freedom Prep Academy to 0-3.
Everything came up roses for Power Center Academy against Craigmont when the teams last played back in November of 2021 as the squad secured a 60-20 victory. Will Power Center Academy repeat their success, or does Craigmont have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
