 Despite the  defeat, Campo Verde saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Kendal Kellar  had 11  digs and one  assist.
Desert Mountain's win bumped their record up to 14-22. As for Campo Verde, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-19 record  this season.
