Mineral Ridge's game  on Monday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  2-1  victory over the Heartland Christian Lions .  Tyler Simpson had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Rams.
 Mineral Ridge pushed their record up to 4-3-2 with that  win, which was their third straight  at home. As for Heartland Christian,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-9.
 Mineral Ridge will be playing at home against LaBrae  at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Heartland Christian, they will have a little extra prep time after the  loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bristol at 5:00  p.m.  on September 27th.
