Meanwhile, Hockaday lost to Greenhill at home by a decisive 62-48 margin on Friday. While losing is never fun, Hockaday can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 573rd, while Greenhill is ranked 129th).
The win got Episcopal School of Dallas back to even at 9-9. As for Hockaday, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
Episcopal School of Dallas didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Hockaday when the teams last played back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 58-54 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Episcopal School of Dallas since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
