Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Valley Head

Valley Head won against Coosa Christian on Tuesday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Tigers won by a run and slipped past the Conquerors 5-4. The victory was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Adleigh Lockett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on two hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Raegan Key, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 13 games. Another player making a difference was Lexi Coffman, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Valley Head's record now sits at 10-19-2. As for Coosa Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Head will venture away from home to face off against Collinsville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Coosa Christian, they will head out to challenge Albertville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
