The Telstar Rebels will challenge the Gray-New Gloucester Patriots at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Telstar will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Monday, then bounced right back against Forest Hills on Thursday. The Rebels blew past the Tigers 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won five matches by seven runs or more so far this season.
Brennan Walker and Bryson Walker were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Walker struck out seven batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Bryson pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Telstar is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-3 otherwise. At bat, Walker got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, while Bryson got on base in four of his five plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles.

Like Telstar, Gray-New Gloucester also got a great game from a two-way player: Seth Espling. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Espling was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Telstar's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Gray-New Gloucester, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Gray-New Gloucester's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Telstar hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .393.
