Amundsen's loss came despite strong showings from Ashawn Powell and Connor Fortier. Powell scored 12 points, while Fortier scored five points along with ten rebounds.
Amundsen has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Niles West, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-6.
Amundsen will be playing at home against Senn at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Senn is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Niles West, they will head out on the road to face off against Highland Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
