The Taylor Ducks will head out on the road to challenge Manor New Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Taylor has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 293 points over their last four contests.
Last Friday, everything went Taylor's way against Austin Achieve as Taylor made off with a 64-38 victory.
Treos Richardson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. TJ Whybrew was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Manor New Tech can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They breezed by Giddings on the road to the tune of 81-45. Winning may never get old, but Manor New Tech sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Manor New Tech found their leader in underclassman Isaiah Kinard, who scored 25 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Kinard has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kome Harris, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Taylor is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-17 record this season. As for Manor New Tech, they pushed their record up to 17-13 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the pair are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Taylor hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 59.8 points per game. However, it's not like Manor New Tech struggles in that department as they've been averaging 69.2 points per game. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Taylor didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Manor New Tech in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 64-60 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Taylor since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
