The Kanab Cowboys have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season. They took their game on the road on Thursday with ease, bagging a 61-26 victory over Parowan. The win was nothing new for Kanab as they're now sitting on five straight.
Kanab was led to victory by Rylee Little and Ashlyn Houston. Little scored 12 points along with eight rebounds, while Houston scored 14 points along with six assists. Little has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 12 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Savannah Bateman, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, Parowan still got an impressive performance from Bella Robinson, who scored 20 points. Robinson scored a full 76.9% of Parowan's points, the 12th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Parowan struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They are winless (0-3) when they just don't pass the ball.
Kanab's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for Parowan, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Coincidentally, Kanab and Parowan will both be playing Beaver the next time they take the court. Kanab will host Beaver at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Parowan will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
