The New School Cougars will play host again and welcome the Green Forest Tigers, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The New School has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 278 points over their last four games.
The New School has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 22 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Dover last Tuesday as The New School made off with a 58-36 victory. Given The New School's advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Dover is ranked 166th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Green Forest suffered a tough 68-48 loss at the hands of Berryville on Monday.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Brayden Compton, who scored 14 points along with 9 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Zak Watson, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds.
The New School's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.2 points per game. As for Green Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
Everything came up roses for The New School against Green Forest in their previous meeting back in December of 2019 as the squad secured a 78-28 victory. Does The New School have another victory up their sleeve, or will Green Forest turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
