Concord Christian and Sunapee are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. Concord Christian will head out on the road to square off against the Sunapee Lakers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Concord Christian will be strutting in after a win while Sunapee will be coming in after a loss.
Concord Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 74-31 win over Pittsfield on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-16.
Meanwhile, Sunapee's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. Their rough 57-34 defeat to Newmarket might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Sunapee has suffered since December 21, 2023.
The victory makes it two in a row for Concord Christian and bumps their season record up to 5-6. As for Sunapee, they bumped their record down to 4-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Concord Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Sunapee in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 53-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Concord Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
