The Gregory Gorillas have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 23 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 72-44 win over Lyman at home. With Gregory ahead 39-15 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Gregory was led to victory by Daniel Mitchell and Noah Bearshield. Mitchell scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks, while Bearshield scored 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Bearshield has scored at least 25% of Gregory's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cruz Klundt, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds and four steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Gregory and bumps their season record up to 5-2. As for Lyman, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Gregory will head out on the road to face off against Burke at 8:00 p.m. on January 12th. Lyman will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Winner at 8:00 p.m. on January 16th.
