 Meanwhile, Shadow Mountain didn't have quite enough to beat Goldwater on Thursday and fell  17-16. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game  on Tuesday (13), the Matadors still had to take the loss.
 Shadow Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Mingus, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.
 Mingus took their  victory against Shadow Mountain  when the teams last played  back in March of 2024 by a conclusive  20-10 score. Will the Marauders repeat their success,  or do  the Matadors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
