Valley has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against The Paden City Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Valley came up short against Magnolia and fell 40-30.
Valley's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Gavin Derby, who rushed for 178 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, and Landen Jerico who picked up 164 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Jerico's longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards.
Meanwhile, Paden City unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 40-28 to Clay-Battelle.
Valley has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Paden City, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.
Valley took their win against Paden City in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 by a conclusive 40-16. The rematch might be a little tougher for Valley since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
