Basketball Recap: Reeves Has No Trouble Against Kelly Catholic

Reeves's tournament run continued when they took on Kelly Catholic on Thursday. Everything went the Reeves Raiders' way against the Kelly Catholic Bulldogs as the Reeves Raiders made off with an 80-60 victory. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

Reeves had a senior duo take command as Carter Guillory went 7 for 12 from beyond the arc on his way to 23 points and six rebounds and Ethan Fondon went 6 of 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fondon has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Colby Stark, who posted nine points and eight assists.

Reeves' win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Kelly Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Reeves didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 89-61 defeat against Shepherd on the 27th. As for Kelly Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 59-34 loss against East Chambers on the 27th.
