Elmwood has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Arcadia Redskins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Saturday, Elmwood ended up a good deal behind Leipsic and lost 67-49. While losing is never fun, Elmwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 537th, while Leipsic is ranked 96th).
Meanwhile, Arcadia was beaten by Pandora-Gilboa 63-28 on Friday. Arcadia has not had much luck with Pandora-Gilboa recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Elmwood bumped their record down to 0-3 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Arcadia, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Elmwood strolled past Arcadia in their previous matchup back in December of 2020 by a score of 54-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Elmwood since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
