Organ Mountain is a perfect 10-0 against Gadsden since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Organ Mountain will square off against Gadsden at 7:00 p.m. Organ Mountain is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.
Organ Mountain took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Deming by a score of 9-6. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Hannah Justus made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Organ Mountain let Siennah Otero and Caillin Reyes run wild. Otero scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Reyes scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave Reyes a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zaima Delgado, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.
Organ Mountain kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Gadsden entered their tilt with San Elizario last Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the Eagles. Considering the Panthers have won four matches by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Alyssa Lujan made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Lujan was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Gadsden got a massive performance out of Kayleigh Vasquez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Abygail Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Gadsden pushed their record up to 5-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Organ Mountain, their record is now 6-3-1.
Organ Mountain took their win against Gadsden in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 16-3. Does Organ Mountain have another victory up their sleeve, or will Gadsden turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
