Banner County is 0-10 against Leyton since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Banner County Wildcats' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Leyton Warriors on January 23rd. Hopefully Banner County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Saturday.
On Saturday, Banner County lost to Creek Valley on the road by a decisive 46-27 margin. Banner County has struggled against Creek Valley recently, as their match on Saturday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
The losing side was boosted by Karleigh Leslie, who scored 15 points along with four steals. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points.
Even though they lost, Banner County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Leyton's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 60-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bayard.
Banner County's record now sits at 1-12. Leyton's record is now 13-2.
Banner County was taken down by Leyton 59-8 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Banner County was down 39-3.
