The Jemison Panthers won the last time they faced the Maplesville Red Devils, and things went their way on Friday too. Jemison came out on top against Maplesville by a score of 51-41. The win made it back-to-back wins for Jemison.
Several Red Devils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jakobe Nix, who scored 14 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Nehemiah McCary, who scored 13 points.
Jemison's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Maplesville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Jemison will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Oak Grove at 6:30 p.m. As for Maplesville, they will head out on the road to face off against Notasulga at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Notasulga is ranked 388th, while Maplesville is ranked 368th).
