The Mount Si Wildcats will face off against the Moses Lake Mavericks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Moses Lake will be up against a hot Mount Si squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Wildcats' pitchers stepped up to hand Hazen a 26-0 shutout on Monday.

Paige Yost and Clara Connor were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Yost pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Connor kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). At the plate, Yost went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, while Connor got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ally Hetzel, who fired off two home runs, ten RBI, and four runs while going 5-for-5. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Anna Braukus, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Mount Si lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hazen didn't launched any home runs.
Meanwhile, Moses Lake had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Everything went their way against the Blackhawks as they made off with a 10-0 victory.
Like Mount Si, Moses Lake also got a great game from a two-way player: Paige Richardson. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Richardson has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Addi Reffett was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Mya Martinez was another key player, earning one RBI, two runs, and two stolen bases.
Moses Lake's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Mount Si, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Mount Si hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .420. However, it's not like Moses Lake struggles in that department as they've averaged .414. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
