The Southeastern Panthers will head out on the road to take on the South Point Pointers at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Southeastern is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
Last Friday, Southeastern took a serious blow against Unioto, falling 59-21. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Southeastern has scored all season.
Meanwhile, even though Raceland scored an imposing 59 points on Thursday, South Point still came out on top. South Point took their game against Raceland 66-59. The victory made it back-to-back wins for South Point.
Southeastern has not been sharp recently as the team has lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. As for South Point, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-8.
Southeastern might still be hurting after the 44-24 defeat they got from South Point in their previous meeting back in February of 2019. Can Southeastern avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
