Juniata saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daylyn Kennedy, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Kennedy is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Hayden Burd also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
As for Halifax, their victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won seven contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
On Halifax's side, Eli Miller was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Miller was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases and two runs. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Halifax got a massive performance out of Matthew Kocher, who went 3-for-5 with five stolen bases, four runs, and five RBI. Cohen Bechtel was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.
Juniata didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-4 loss against Lewisburg on the 18th. As for Halifax, they will take on Newport at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Buffaloes have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
