The Warren Dragons pushed their score all the way to 58 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Franklin by a score of 61-58. It was the first time this season that Warren let down their fans at home.
Despite the loss, Warren still got an impressive performance from Brady Berdine, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Tommy Nyquist was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Warren's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-4. As for Franklin, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-4.
Warren will head out on the road to square off against Conneaut Area at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Warren is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Conneaut Area in Pennsylvania (Warren is ranked 73rd, while Conneaut Area is ranked 460th). As for Franklin, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Oil City at 7:15 p.m. on February 16th.
