The Stebbins Indians waltzed into their game on Friday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They enjoyed a cozy 60-43 victory over Fairborn. This was payback for Stebbins, who suffered a 57-47 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Despite the loss, Fairborn still got an impressive performance from Sean Townsend, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Taiyou Williams, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Stebbins' victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Fairborn, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stebbins' road trip will continue as they head out to face Piqua at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Piqua will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 680th, while Stebbins is ranked 243rd). As for Fairborn, they will head out on the road to challenge West Carrollton at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
