On Friday South Gibson take on Middle College at 7:00 PM. South Gibson have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
South Gibson didn't have too many spare points in their contest with Westview last week, but they still walked away with a 46-41 win.
Meanwhile, after having lost a blowout to Freedom Prep Academy in their previous matchup, Middle College were happy to find some success. Middle College put the hurt on KIPP Collegiate with a sharp 24-0 victory. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (18) and coasted on those for the victory.
Their wins bumped Middle College to 2-2 and South Gibson to 3-2. In their victory, Middle College relied heavily on sophomore Joyner Stephens, who rushed for 65 yards and 1 touchdown. South Gibson will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
