Softball Recap: Jennings County Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After only one run in their last matchup, Jennings County made sure to put some runs up on the board against Charlestown on Saturday. The Panthers blew past the Pirates 10-0. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Maycie Ward, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Treadway, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Jennings County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April.

With the victory, Jennings County broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 17-8. As for Charlestown, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.

Jennings County has already played their next contest, a 4-3 win against Shelbyville on the 16th. As for Charlestown, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Seymour at 5:30 p.m.
