It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They snuck past the Victory Christian Academy Chargers with a 55-50 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Crusaders, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayden Pollard, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 18 boards. Pollard has been hot, having posted 11 or more rebounds the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Ballard, who posted 13 points and three steals.

Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 20 offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Despite the loss, Victory Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jadon Blumenthal went 10-for-23 on his way to 29 points. Owen Kreitler was another key player, putting up eight points.

Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis' record now sits at 4-1. As for Victory Christian Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

As for Victory Christian Academy, they will challenge Eagle Ridge Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
