The Christ's Church Academy Eagles lost against the KIPP Bold City Greyhounds back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Christ's Church Academy took a 58-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of KIPP Bold City.
Despite the loss, Christ's Church Academy still got an impressive performance from Jackson Hadden, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 12 rebounds. Hadden hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for 18 straight games. Jackson Olson was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
KIPP Bold City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joel Hunt led the charge by scoring 13 points. Another player making a difference was Donovan Fils, who scored ten points.
Christ's Church Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-18. As for KIPP Bold City, their victory bumped their record up to 8-15.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christ's Church Academy will take on St. Johns Country Day at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Johns Country Day will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Christ's Church Academy surely won't give up without a fight. KIPP Bold City is on the road again on Thursday and plays Trinity Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st. KIPP Bold City is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.7 points per game this season.
