A Season-Best  Performance from  Jayden Evans Leads West Johnston over Smithfield-Selma
  Jayden Evans produced his most outstanding game to date while leading West Johnston to the win  on Friday. Evans wasn't messing around, forcing a fumble and making 16 total tackles (2.0 for loss) in addition to snagging   an  interception. The  matchup was his third straight with nine or   more total tackles dating back to last season.
 The  victory (which was West Johnston's third in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Evans and West Johnston will head out on the road to  square off against  C.B. Aycock  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.

Big Game from Langston As South Johnston Won 42-20
 South Johnston found a leader in  Holt Langston as the  team took down Southern Wayne on Friday. Langston was dynamite, rushing for 122 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries.
 South Johnston and Hunt are set to duel  on Friday. Langston will face off against  J.T. Thomas, the Warriors' star rusher. Will the  contest be decided in the trenches? We'll have our answer very soon.

Jerimiah Peart Delivers Electric  Effort Vs C.B. Aycock
 Fike was sadly handed a  loss on Friday, but  Jerimiah Peart did his best to prevent it. Despite the   defeat,  Peart was still balling out as he rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries.
 The  loss snapped Fike's winning streak at three games  and leaves them with a 4-3 record. Peart will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant  effort when he faces off against East Wake on Friday.

Jamari Giles Makes It Two for West Johnston
 The second West Johnston player making an appearance here is  Jamari Giles, and for good reason. He picked up  a  sack and made 13 total tackles (7.0 for loss). He is  on a roll when it comes to  total tackles, as he's  now  made seven or more in the last eight games he's  played dating back to last season.
 On the year,  Giles  has averaged 11.7 total tackles per game  and for the season has 4 sacks. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season,  he was only averaging three  total tackles per game.

  Antwain Grantham continued his hot streak  on Friday by dropping his 14th-straight game (dating back to last season) with  at least five  total tackles. He made 14 total tackles (3.0 for loss).
 Grantham and C.B. Aycock will be playing at home against West Johnston  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Golden Falcons got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Wildcats, probably because  Grantham had a solid game then too: he made 11 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
