We've got a battle between Wildcats coming up. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Tullahoma and Battle Ground Academy will really light up the scoreboard on Friday.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, Tullahoma turned things around against Marion County on Thursday. They blew past the Warriors 13-3. With that victory, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.
Amaya Sharp made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Sharp was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Madison Goad was incredible, going 3-for-4 with six RBI, three doubles, and two runs. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in doubles. Kaitlynn Gattis also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Tullahoma always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Marion County only posted an OBP of .435.
Meanwhile, everything went Battle Ground Academy's way against Providence Christian Academy on Thursday as Battle Ground Academy made off with an 11-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.
Like Tullahoma, Battle Ground Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Leelee Fernandez. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Fernandez was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other batting news, Battle Ground Academy got a massive performance out of Cooper Corbett, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Ellery Baisden, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Battle Ground Academy's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Tullahoma, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-5.
