Baseball Game Preview: Falcon Falcons vs. Delta Panthers

The Falcon Falcons will venture away from home to take on the Delta Panthers at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Falcon's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.

On Friday, Falcon made easy work of Montezuma-Cortez and carried off an 11-1 win. Fans of the Falcons have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Ronan Sadorus tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

At the plate, Falcon let Broden Cox and Talan Chubb run wild. Cox went a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs, while Chubb got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave Chubb a new career-high. Isaiah Martinez was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Falcon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .345 or higher in six consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Delta's offense. They lost 15-0 to University on Friday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Falcon's record is now 4-0. As for Delta, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Everything went Falcon's way against Delta in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, as Falcon made off with an 11-0 victory. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
