It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 98-10, which was the final score in Highland Park's tilt against the Steers on Tuesday. Highland Park was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 63-7.
Meanwhile, Panhandle can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They breezed by Boys Ranch on the road to the tune of 56-24. Given Panhandle's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while the Roughriders are ranked 839th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Highland Park has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-23 record this season. As for Panhandle, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
Highland Park took a serious blow against the Panthers in their previous matchup back in January, falling 89-5. Can Highland Park avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
