The West Ottawa Panthers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against East Kentwood by a score of 34-22. This was payback for West Ottawa, who suffered a 14-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Kayden Forbes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 269 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Forbes is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Connor Knapp, who threw for 118 yards and three touchdowns.
West Ottawa's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for East Kentwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
West Ottawa will head out on the road to face off against Rockford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rockford has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 299 points over their last seven contests. East Kentwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
