In what's become a running theme this season, the Jefferson Academy Jaguars gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They breezed by Stargate School at home to the tune of 45-3. The victory was nothing new for Jefferson Academy as they're now sitting on four straight.
Jefferson Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elsa Nygren led the charge by scoring 14 points along with five steals and two blocks. Nygren has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Rylin Chichirico was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with three steals.
Jefferson Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Stargate School, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson Academy will challenge Kent Denver on Monday. As for Stargate School, they will head out on the road to challenge Rocky Mountain Prep SMART at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
