There's no place like home for DeQuincy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the East Beauregard Trojans a 17-0 shutout on Thursday. Considering the Tigers have won 14 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Andrew Dowden, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Diron Valentine was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3.

DeQuincy pushed their record up to 19-9 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for East Beauregard, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

DeQuincy has already played their next contest (against Vinton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for East Beauregard, they will take on Pickering at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
